Merlin Pass & Sydney Aquarium

Whether you are visiting Sydney or living in Sydney, you will not be disappointed with a visit to the Sydney Aquarium. This time around, I researched on the Internet before going and realized admission tickets were 10-15% cheaper if you purchased them online instead of at the aquarium directly. You also save time and do not need to suffer the long queues of tourists or students (especially during Aussie school holidays) as there is a separate queue for prepurchased online tickets. I took things one step further by purchasing an annual Merlin pass (since I was planning on taking my baby more than 2 times to the Sydney Aquarium during our 3 week long visit). This annual pass cost only AUD90 for an adult (infant is free) and allows us access to 11 top attractions in Australia and New Zealand. For details visit: www.merlinannualpass.com.au/
We used our pass for 2 visits to the Sydney Aquarium and 1 visit to Madame Tussauds and already that made our money's worth!
The Sydney Aquarium was great fun and my 12 month old toddler loved it! Lots of giant sharks! We especially loved the underwater viewing tunnels, and I've enclosed a picture of the giant turtle who was a little less cordial during our second visit (or maybe he was nursing a headache??). The shark nursery was also a great area (just before the exit) for mother and baby to rest and relax. Adults can snack and sit down whilst toddlers and kids crawled and walked around admiring the ever changing landscape of fish ecosystems. It's very relaxing to just watch them swim around... We missed the dugongs this time, but we'll be back in December to see them 
