Breakfast with Sesame Street Characters at Universal Studios Singapore

Sesame Street - an all time favorite for me during my childhood and lo and behold, its' characters have found their way into my little tot's heart as well. 

So we decided to give her an unforgettable day at Universal Studios Singapore by having breakfast with her favorite Sesame Street characters. 

We booked a breakfast package which included a one night stay at the Resorts World Sentosa Hard Rock Hotel Deluxe room, 2 adult entry passes to Universal studios, and breakfast for 2 adults at Sesame Street. 

Staying over the night before meant that we would be able to head over to USS nice and early - actually just before the park opened, so that we can be chaperoned to Sesame Street for a sumptuous buffet breakfast at the Louis NY Pizza Parlor. 

Priority entry into Universal Studios meant no queuing or squeezing with the crowds on a Saturday morning. We were warmly greeted and chaperoned by USS staff all the way to the character breakfast venue and they helped us to take pictures with our cameras/phones as well. 

Apart from good service, meeting the characters and interacting with them was a fabulous experience for my little tot too! She met Oscar (what she called rubbish man) for the first time, was hugged by her favorite "blue elmos" (aka Cookie Monstor), was thrilled to meet her other favorite girl Abby Caddaby and of course she enjoyed stalking Red Elmo all around the pizza parlor. The characters came one or two at a time every 15-20minute intervals, so it kept my little tot busy as she tried to decide whether to eat her cookies, pancakes and cakes or to jump off her baby chair and follow the characters around. 

I must say the buffet selection was impressive, with attractive waffles, cakes etc in the Sesame Street theme which were not only nice to look at but also  delicious. Even my picky husband commented on how the buffet was actually decently yummy. There was also free flow of orange juice, and all of us received a free plastic Elmo souvenir plate to take home as a present. 

The breakfast place is also just next to the area where the other characters like Big Bird, Count, Grover, Ernie and Bert would turn up for photo op and performance; so even though these characters did not turn up during breakfast, there was still an opportunity to take pictures with them. We will definitely do this again as my tot really enjoyed herself and looks back fondly at her visit to Sesame Street, as she mentions "visiting blue Elmos" every time she sees that family picture of us with her favorite character.

YouTube for Babies - My Baby's Playlist

What videos on youtube make my 10month old baby sit still and watch in excitement?
This is the playlist I allow her to indulge in just before bedtime when she has been a good girl all day.
In order of her favorite:
1) Melody Street - If you are happy and you know it (my baby loves the animation, the use of lively instruments and the musicality and pace of the video. The violin and French horn are her favourite)
2) Melody Street - When I Grow Up (a catchy song with many simulated scenarios of possible occupations in the future)
3) Super Simple Learning - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (probably the best animated version of this familiar lullaby, with a really cute star and owl who dance in the clouds together)
4) Super Simple Learning - Snowflake, Snowflake Little Snowflake (this animated song has the cutest snowman ever and it is sung by a child. Very whimsical and dreamlike. Love it!)
5) Sesame Street - Elmo Song (love the interactions amongst Elmo, Big Bird and Snuffy in this video. They all share and sing 3 different versions of Elmo's original song. Elmo is super cute playing his baby piano!)
6) Super Simple Learning - Row Row Row Your Boat (this song has 4 sets of chorus that overlap together with a very soothing animation - musical and beautiful!)
7) Super Simple Learning - BINGO (I use this song to teach my baby to clap, pat her thighs, pat her tummy, pat her head and jump. A fun repetitive song to sing along with baby)
8) Super Simple Learning - Hickory Dickory Dock (this song is funny and introduces the concept of time as well as different animals)
