Letter to Kyo - 8 July 2013

Dear Baby Kyo,
It is a sleepless night for Mummy as your Daddy woke up at 4am to catch a flight to Hong Kong and pregnant Mummy has been thinking so much since then that I decided I should just write this down.
Maybe it is the after-effect for watching World War Z on a Sunday afternoon, coupled with paranoia triggered by Mummy's pregnancy hormones; I feel more thankful than ever for having met your daddy and so blessed for the family we have - I do hope that one day you will be as lucky as me and marry the man of your dreams and be loved, and so in love everyday for the rest of your life.
Brad Pitt was a fantastic father and husband in World War Z, and after watching the show, I was swelling with pride emotionally as I realized how your father can be to us what Brad Pitt was to his family in the movie. An Everyday Hero. Always there to protect us, always putting our interests first, and most importantly, nothing he does for us he considers a sacrifice as his mindset stems from unconditional love.
A pregnant mummy could not ask for more - a busy daddy who brings home the bread also helps with your bathtime, wash the clothes, take in the laundry, does the packing/unpacking and irons his own shirts. He loves spending time with us and we are always in his thoughts.
When the haze was bad, it took him less than an hour to book us tickets out of the country for a holiday escape in one of mummy's favorite destinations.
He'll always go pick you up from school so that mummy can take it easy after her day of part time work ends. He is generous not only to us but also to your grandparents, uncles and aunties. He is not calculative over material possessions, not crazy over cleanliness or tidiness, and always an advocate of spending quality time with us. A family man that loves to stay home or go anywhere in the world, as long as we are by his side.
If you ever have a chance to meet someone like that, you will understand what Mummy means. Such a partner makes life so secure, safe, gratifying, enjoyable and beautiful everyday. You'll love every moment you have with him, and every moment away from him will be substituted with longing. But your hearts will always stay close and you will always be interested in what is happening with his life, inside and outside of your own.
Your daddy is a dreamer - everyday he thinks about the future of our family and the myriad of possibilities: where we will live, how we will end up, how happy we will be. I love that his dreams are all encompassing, and that we always have a place in his heart.
Your mummy loves romance, and no one is more romantic than your daddy. "This is our 7th lifetime together, only this lifetime it took me 27 years to find you."
Your mummy doesn't laugh easily, but everyday with your daddy I chuckle like a high school girl.
There are few people who understand Mummy better than Mummy herself, and your Daddy triumphs them all. He is my soulmate, husband, family, lover and friend, all rolled into 1 perfect combination. To find someone who loves you is difficult enough, but to find someone who loves those you love and respect what you respect is a blessing.
Mummy is a very lucky girl, and so are you, to have a Daddy like Daddy. Let's cherish and love one another unconditionally for the decades to come and never take for granted what we have been blessed with.
I love you Baby.
XOXO,
Mummy Ader
